Good but not great
First off, frustrating that Eric came out 70 minutes late; no reason, no apology. Second, we were thrown off by his ‘look’ (hair looked like he was styled by Don King); not the typical t-shirt, jeans and boots. Someone gave him bad advice. Music was good but not great; sound was extremely loud to the point where it was hard to understand the words at times. Eric and band appeared tired and ready to be done with the tour. We saw him 5 years ago and it was excellent - top 3 concerts ever (and we’ve seen a lot of concerts)! Still glad we went but overall disappointed; maybe our expectations were too high. Maybe just us but Eric had an ‘air’ about him; seemed like he has started to read and believe his own press releases. Not the humble, stick it to the establishment/Nashville guy he usually is. Hate to be this negative as we still love Eric and his music - one of the best of all time. Good but not great…disappointing.
